ABOUT

 CANDLES

Located in Savannah, GA, each scent is thoughtfully selected and inspired by the coastal charm of this historic city. Hand-poured in small batches, each scent choosen is influenced by the lowcountry culture and southern lifestyle.
All of our candles are made with all natural soy wax and contain no toxins, carcinogens, or pollutants. We use eco-friendly candle wicks made from natural flat cotton and paper threads, and are lead and zinc free.

We also source all materials through suppliers who provide eco-friendly alternatives to packaging, production and fulfillment. All of our fragrance oils, products and materials are never tested on animals by us or our suppliers.

WHO WE ARE

Salt & Shore was founded in 2016 on the green marsh grasses of South Carolina. Inspired by family, friends and the coastal lifestyle, Salt and Shore has a passion for creating products that reflect the true culture of the Lowcountry.

The creator, a native to Hilton Head Island, is inspired by the simplicity, warmth, and peaceful feeling from a day spent by the water or under the shade of a century-old oak tree. With each creation she thoughtfully plans scent, design, and color to give everyone a sense of home.

Known around here as Mandy, she lives in a historic neighborhood with two fur babies and a grumpy attorney named Scottie. When she's not pouring candles, you can find her sipping bubbles at brunch, traveling, trying new local restaurants, or binge watching Hallmark channel.

Each collection is based around the feelings she has living in this beautiful city. From the long walks at night through the various squares and oak-lined streets, to the warm summer days on the beach when you can't peel yourself off the chair. Every time she pours a candle, memories come rushing back and she feels at home.

COMMUNITY

Salt & Shore is pleased to partner with the Save the Manatee Organization. Manatee's are beautiful, gentle, and under threat. Through this partnership, Salt and Shore is providing all shoppers the opportunity to help preserve the future of all manatees. As well as adopting Electra, who is the smallest and youngest manatee at the Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, $1 from every "Sweetgrass" candle purchased will go directly to the Save the Manatee Organization.
